I was in the need of something light yesterday, to get me through this head cold I developed. The emotion and all the memories that were told throughout In Honor probably shouldn't be considered "light", but YA contemporaries are my comfort reads, and this one did just that. I really enjoy road trip stories, because they give you both the physical idea of a journey mixed in with the internal self discovery stuff. And it makes it feel like an extra adventure. I loved seeing both Honor and Rusty develop over the book. I may have been expecting a bit too much between the two of them, but I think the way the story ended was perfect - uncomplicated and final enough to be satisfied, even while questioning what might come in the future. I'm curious to know what happened with Honor's college aspirations, and whether Rusty made it back for all his football obligations, but that's all just because I can't let them go yet. This was exactly the story I was looking for this weekend. 4/5 stars
